Zagađenje zraka predstavlja jedan od najvećih rizika za zdravlje na globalnoj razini, odgovorno za otprilike 20% svih smrtnih slučajeva.

With increasing urbanization, and industrialization comes rising pollution
levels. The presence of harmful gases and particles in the atmosphere results
in 8.7 million premature deaths per year globally. (source: Harvard University)

Hundreds of thousands of people in Europe die prematurely every year
because they have been exposed to concentrations of pollutants above the
levels recommended by the World Health Organisation (source: WHO).

In the world we live and work, monitoring the air is
indispensable for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The professional environmental
monitoring solution

Sensees
Outdoor Air Quality
Monitoring System

is a professional solution for outdoor
monitoring of multiple air quality and other environmental parameters like particulate matters (PMs), nitrogen oxides (Nox), meteorological conditions, noise or electromagnetic field levels in a city or rural setting, all the while providing real time data
insights. Electrochemical sensors used in measurements
come factory-calibrated and undergo additional
calibration and validation in Smart Sense
laboratory

How Does It Work?

The system consists of a number of sensor
modules automatically connected to the cloud. It monitors outdoor air quality and other environmental parameters, collecting, analyzing and graphically presenting real – time measurements. Due to its modularity, it can be used both as a stationary and mobile monitoring station.

Sensors monitor multiple air quality parameters

from humidity, atmospheric pressure and
temperature to presence of a number of gases
like CO, CO2, O3 and SO2, NO and NO2 or
particles like PM1, PM2.5 and PM10.
This outdoor monitoring system can also be
upgraded for measuring electromagnetic field
levels within a predefined frequency range, or
serve as a proprietary gateway to provide data
on wind, noise levels, rainfall, and other
environmental inputs.

Sensors communicate with the cloud

using different technologies like NB-IoT, LoRaWAN, 3G, 4G, 5G, WiFi or Ethernet. All the software components were built for versatility and are able to communicate with Sensees IoT cloud-based applications as well as software platforms created by other companies, creating endless possibilities for upgrades, customization and innovation.

Dive deeper into the wider application with Sensees urban air quality modelling system

Sensees Urban Air Quality Model has been developed using advanced machine learning methods and specialised AI models trained on real data from Sensees monitoring stations across the globe.

The model uses hourly concentrations of gases and particles with reference and indicative monitoring stations, real time traffic data, register of pollutants, satellite data and information about heating sources, as well as other data sources, to provide air quality assessment map and air quality predictions.

After deployment, the model is additionally trained on local dataset, resulting in more accurate 24-hour pollution forecast based on location specific modelling.

Air Quality Pollution Models

This innovative approach allows the model to operate in areas where data on local pollutants is not available.

Hyperlocal air quality insights
Pollution hotspots detection
Timely alerts to citizens about poor air quality
Personal exposure assessment

Dive deeper into the wider application with Sensees urban air quality modelling system Sensees Urban Air Quality Model is the result of many years of research and experience of deploying monitoring stations. It has been developed using advanced machine learning methods and specialised AI models trained on real data from Sensees monitoring stations across the globe. When deployed, the model is additionally trained with local data to provide more precise micro location and microclimate determined modelling enableing a 24-hour pollution projection in the selected area. IoT is transforming urban development and helps with urban planning, better emergency responses in case of heavy pollution of industrial incidents, but also traffic management strategies that reduce emissions and improve public health. Outdoor Air quality monitoring is crucial in a society with children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions, as they are more susceptible to the harmful effects of air pollution. Authorities can take measures to protect these vulnerable groups from exposure to harmful pollutants
